1. Getting Started — First-Time Use
Learning to use your vibration plate is simple, but it does take a little time to find the settings that feel right for your body. This section walks you through your very first session.
Step 1: Turn on the machine
Plug in the unit and press the power button. When you turn it on, the display will automatically start on Program HA.
Step 2: Use Program HA for your first session
Program HA is the manual mode, and it's the best place to start. It lets you control the speed and frequency of the vibration yourself, so you can get a feel for how the machine responds before trying the automatic programs.

Step 3: Get into positionStand on the foot pads, then press Start.
-
We recommend using the plate barefoot, or wearing only thin socks. The plate has a sensor that needs to detect your feet, and thick socks or shoes can interfere with this.
Step 4: Adjust the intensity
Once you're standing on the plate, you can raise or lower the frequency using either:
-
The remote control, or
-
The + / – buttons on the machine (e.g. a foot-tap control)
Lower the frequency if the vibration feels too strong at first.
Step 5: Find your comfort zone
Once the plate is running, take a moment to notice how it feels — everyone's body responds a little differently, and there's no single "correct" setting.
-
Lower frequencies (roughly below 500) feel gentler, but allow your muscles and soft tissue to move with a wider range of motion.
-
Higher frequencies feel more intense and work more deeply into the muscle.
There's no need to rush — try a few different settings during your first few sessions and pay attention to what feels most comfortable and effective for you. Over time, you'll naturally find the speed and frequency that works best for your body and your goals.
Frequencies and it's benefits
Recoverby vibration plate offers 999 intensity levels, so you can tailor each session to your goals and comfort. As a general guide, we've grouped the range into three zones. These are starting recommendations, not strict rules — everyone's body responds differently, so use them as a reference point and adjust based on how you feel.
Levels 0–350 — Gentle / Recovery Zone
This is the lowest-intensity range and the best place to start, especially in your first few sessions.
-
Best for: warming up, cooling down, gentle stretching, recovery days, and anyone new to vibration training.
-
Feel: soft, low-impact vibration with a wider range of motion — your muscles and soft tissue move gently rather than being driven hard.
-
Potential benefits: easing into circulation and mobility work, gentle muscle relaxation, light stretching support, and helping the body relax after a long day.
-
Good for: beginners, older adults, or anyone easing back into activity.
Levels 360–650 — Moderate / Everyday Zone
This mid-range is where most people settle in for regular, everyday use once they're comfortable with the plate.
-
Best for: general toning, everyday strength and balance work, and standard stretching or warm-up routines.
-
Feel: a noticeably firmer vibration than the gentle zone, with a good balance between range of motion and depth of muscle engagement.
-
Potential benefits: supporting muscle activation, general toning routines, improved balance and core engagement, and a more energizing session overall.
-
Good for: users with some experience on the plate who want a more active, engaging session.
Levels 660–999 — Intense / Advanced Zone
The highest range delivers the deepest, most vigorous vibration, and is best reserved for users who are already comfortable with the machine.
-
Best for: more advanced training, strength-focused routines, and shorter, high-intensity sessions.
-
Feel: faster, deeper vibration that works more intensely into the muscle with a smaller range of motion.
-
Potential benefits: more demanding muscle engagement, higher-intensity workout sessions, and challenging balance and stability work.
-
Good for: experienced users who have built up comfort with lower levels first. Not recommended as a starting point for beginners.
A Few Tips
-
Start low and work your way up over several sessions — there's no need to reach the highest levels right away, or at all.
-
If you feel any discomfort, dizziness, or pain at any level, lower the intensity or stop the session (see vibration plate manual for instructions and safety).
-
The "right" level is the one that feels effective and comfortable for your body — it doesn't have to match anyone else's routine.
